BRISON + VOISIN architectures is available for new projects

Mathieu Brison graduated from the École Spéciale d'Architecture de Paris in 2006. He worked for Pierre Gautier Architecture for nearly five years, where he was able to experiment with the art of competitions, phases of drafting, volumetric research and image creation. This architect was then introduced to scenography during the TEAM 10 exhibition at the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, being convinced that there is a real value in this discipline.

His fondness for meeting people and organising events having got the better of him, Mathieu Brison found himself managing a Parisian establishment, the Victoria Cross in Châtelet, for two years. Alongside his work, Mathieu Brison collaborated with the interior and landscape architect Luc Voisin, with whom he carried out several projects in France and abroad. The complementary nature of the duo led them in 2014 to create the kumQuat workshops. Today, these architects combine their skills to offer a new dimension to architectural and landscape design, in collaboration with two other partners.

Since then, many architectural projects have been created for private individuals (house extensions, flat renovations) or professionals (office spaces, meeting places, private banking agencies, restaurants, nurseries, medical practices, etc.). In 2019, following an internal reorganisation, Mathieu Brison became the manager of the kumQuat workshops. His taste for challenges led him, in 2020, to accept a role consulting as an expert architect for the French television show "Mieux chez soi", presented by Stéphane Plaza.

In 2022, the workshops were transformed into KUMQUAT architecture and set up in the heart of Lyon in the Confluence district alongside interior architects and landscape designers. Mathieu Brison supports the project management with sensibility and humility, ensuring to answer their questions at all phases of the project: sketch, feasibility study, site monitoring...
