Based in Clichy, GMV architectes & associés is an architectural firm founded by three architects with a complementary vision.

Through their respective professional experiences, these architects have been able to collaborate within different structures on operations of various scales, both in private and public markets, within architectural agencies or engineering offices, in the design or construction phase.

THE VISION

For these architects, architecture is above all a matter of passion. It is easy to say that all of the agency's employees treat all of the related issues with the utmost attention.

"Space is too often neglected in favour of the envelope. We have to put use back at the centre of our thinking.

For them, architecture is a notion of intertwining space and body. It is a reality with which it is necessary to deal. It must awaken each of our senses, and must respond to the uses for which it is intended in order to become sustainable. Within the agency, the intellectual process of creating the architectural project is at the service of its USE. The envelope, with all its components, must generate itself, it is a result of this composition process.

Designing is not innate, it is a task that is worked on and the career of these architects is proof of this. This dedication to architecture guarantees an architectural project that applies equally to design and urban planning. The processes and reasoning are close, even similar. This does not mean that aesthetics are not of primary importance, but the iterative process is born of use and not of the need to create an envelope.
