RÉGINE REMY ARCHITECTE is available for new projects

Régine Remy is an architect based in Paris. She works with clients on a wide variety of projects and programmes. Intervention on an existing building or new construction in a built environment represent the two main lines of her activity. The objective of this architect is always to fit in respectfully and harmoniously with the existing building, as well as to enhance its identity, whether it is a building or an existing built environment. Harmony and enhancement do not exclude a fine touch of originality contributing to the uniqueness of the place thus created.

Régine Remy is involved in restructuring projects of varying degrees of importance, ranging from the fitting out of an interior (e.g. a flat) to the complete remodelling of a building (e.g. a change of use), more or less extensive restoration work (old, run-down buildings), or upgrading to comply with standards (those of contemporary comfort, energy performance requirements). As far as construction in a built context is concerned, it includes extensions, heightening, but also construction in urban sites (hollow spaces).

This architect is capable of working in delicate contexts from a heritage point of view (protected sectors, perimeter of a historic monument, registered monument), insofar as she is perfectly familiar with the particularities of old buildings (their pathologies, old construction techniques and restoration techniques). Régine Remy is used to interacting with the institutional actors of heritage, in particular the Architectes des Bâtiments de France, whose expectations and requirements she knows. This architect is also used to dealing with co-ownerships, and to presenting files for flat renovations when there are repercussions on the common areas (intervention on the structure, for example).

"If I had to describe my preferences and my sensitivity as an architect, I would say that it is first and foremost the place with its identity that will set the tone. My style will therefore vary from one project to another, but will always be marked by a preference for pure and timeless forms, materials with a strong "materiality" with an apparent implementation allowing the patina to appear, such as stone, brick, wood and steel.

A project always begins by listening carefully to the needs, desires and financial possibilities of the client, coupled with an in-depth study of the existing building. It is only successful if it manages to combine the satisfaction of the former with the enhancement of the latter.
