OTTIN-PECCHIO/ Bio Architecte is available for new projects

Christian Ottin Pecchio, state-certified architect (DPLG) graduated in 1983 from the Écoles d’Architecture aux Beaux-Arts de Paris. The architect is the president of the architectural company SAS Ottin-Pecchio / Bio Architecte and has designed hundreds of plans for new villas and expansions, pools, and apartment renovations on the Saint-Tropez peninsula.

Since his first projects Christian Ottin-Pecchio has specialised, out of personal preference, in the construction of individual residences, for a private clientele. His daughter Caroline is a partner in the company and in charge of all interior architecture. He is attentive to the wishes of his clients, and translates them into sketches, then drafts, progressively evolving into plans that correspond perfectly to their dreams and resources, whatever the style they have in mind.

His 35 years of experience in this very specific field of villas has allowed him to move forward with ease with his clients toward the fulfillment of their vision.

Mindful of the bioclimatic component of architecture ever since his studies, he devotes attention to study projects with his clients, researching the adaptation to the Mediteranean climate, with a focus on the orientation and adaptation to the topography of the site, integrating the villas into the site, and natural protections offered by the vegetation, in order to temper the heat from the sun and effects of prevailing winds, while opening the residence ou towards nature, the sea, forest or garden. 

Particular consideration is given to the implementation of environmentally-friendly and health-conscious materials for structure and insulation. He takes advantage of the principle of thermal inertia, which naturally helps houses stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter, throughout the day and night. These principles align with natural heating and cooling elements such as geothermal heat exchangers, photovoltaic or thermal solar panels, which produce energy or limit consumption.

Each year the architectural firm designs plans for new villas, expansions and restaurations, handles requests for building permits, and small development projects and restaurations of traditional Provençal houses. The majority of projects are located in Gigaro, in La Croix-Valmer and in the neighboring municipalities of Cavalaire, Gassin, Grimaud, Ramatuelle and Saint-Tropez.
