Mona - Bureau d'architecture is available for new projects
In essence, the first builders were all itinerant, free to move from one site to another. They were builders, engineers, bricklayers, and specialised in their skills.
Nowadays, architects all too often work in their own offices, at home, and less and less on site. Of course, they still visit the site, but they don't build anything with their own hands. The aim of Mona - Bureau d'architecture is to be able to design the project, and sometimes participate in its construction. The design is always based on the ambitions of the end client, but also on the skills adapted to each situation, whether technical, aesthetic or economic.
This phenomenon is reinforced by the use of digital tools, and the architect becomes the link between design and reality.
Wisdom (the knowing architect) draws, strength (manual) executes, and sometimes beauty adds the final touch to the quality of the work.
From the outset, the studio's approach is one of movement, sometimes even architectural gesture, in the service of changes in materiality, temporality and use, in order to use architecture to respond to a need, a desire or even an ambition.
The responses of Damien Maciejewski and his team are unique and specialised for the client.
The agency is dynamic and refines its own identity for each project. Certain codes can be found and read throughout their work, without copying and pasting. Curved lines, materials and colourimetry are often found on projects, and are the three pillars around which the agency's identity is built.
The agency's founder, Damien Maciejewski, began his career by training in interior architecture and design at LISAA (Institut Supérieure des Arts Appliquées).
It was during his first year in a professional agency that he realised that a complementary path was essential if he was to address all the issues involved in a project and also open up the possibility of construction.
So, after 4 years' training in space design and a diploma in interior architecture with a specialism in design, he joined ENSAPLV for a further 4 years, winning the jury's congratulations on his PFE.
Finally, this architect's career path ended with him joining his first agency with the aim of obtaining the HMONP (Habilitation à la maîtrise d'œuvre en son nom propre). Once he had obtained his final diploma, his career path quickly took him to prestigious agencies with more than 90 employees, where he worked on large-scale projects (20,000m²) and discovered new subjects such as flat blocks, office high-rise buildings, mixed-use programmes, competitions, hotels, etc.
Today, Mona is capable of responding to a property development project, building a hotel, a house, renovating a flat or designing a door handle, without ever forgetting the centre of a project: those for whom it is designed.
