A self-employed architect for 7 years, Aurélie Dufourg focuses on designing new buildings as much as renovating and transforming interiors.
Her projects are designed with an overall vision taking into account the initial location, its environment and its history, past, existing and future use... between archeology and architecture.
For Aurélie Dufourg, each project is an enigma to be solved. It constantly ensures the coherence between needs, desires, spatial scales (from a global scale to a furniture and detail scale), the harmonization of everything with the place which will accommodate all until to its realization.

A project is also for Aurélie Dufourg a human adventure in her relationship and her dialogue with her clients as well as with the companies which formalize the realization and anchor the project in reality. It is a real work of multiple collaborations (clients – architect – technical design offices – companies) implying commitments and responsibilities for each party. For this, its key words are: dialogue and transparency.
This collaborative architect/client work allows us to structure priorities and desires down to the smallest details, together, while working on the qualities of the space. According to Aurélie Dufourg, this collaboration becomes all the more essential during the actual realization of the project. Indeed, the construction site is a key stage which requires upstream decision-making down to the smallest detail.
This design work may seem long and laborious, however for Aurélie Dufourg it is an essential step which guarantees good writing of the estimates and therefore the smooth running of the site in its realization as well as in maintaining a budget and a schedule.
