MATHIEU DURBEC ARCHITECTURE is available for new projects

Mathieu Durbec has been a DPLG architect since 2012. He graduated from the Brussels Faculty of Architecture. He worked for around ten years in several agencies in Lyon, Paris, Lausanne, Charleroi before founding the MDA Mathieu Durbec Architecture workshop himself in 2021 in Nogent-sur-Marne.

In particular, within the JBMN architects agency, he acquired solid experience as a project manager by developing mixed-use building and collective housing projects with a complete mission, notably in wood frames and CLT.

The workshop works on various programs and project scales. He designs new and renovation projects in housing, business premises, collective residential buildings, offices and industrial buildings. It also carries out extensions and elevations of townhouses, as well as the construction of individual houses, collective housing buildings and offices.

The workshop is defined as a place for constructing a reflection that puts the client at the heart of the design process. It is the starting point for a thought that aims to be singular and contextualized. He defends the idea of ​​“artisanal” architecture evocative of know-how thus contributing to the identity of the project.

This approach allowed the workshop to receive an architectural prize as part of the Palmares des Architectures Habitées organized by the CAUE du Val de Marne for a house extension project in mass-tinted concrete.

Concerned about the “well-being of the user”, the workshop undertakes precise work on the ergonomics and quality of spaces, the provision of natural light and the use of sustainable materials.

The approach is intended to be rational and frugal, part of a search for economy of means to do better with less while responding to current and future environmental challenges.

In the development of its projects, the workshop strives to respect the financial envelope, the program and the duration of the work defined in advance with the project owner.
