TRAINING

After studying architecture at ENSBA, in the brand new UP 8 school, organized and directed by Bernard HUET, Patrick DELAMOTTE decided to deepen his knowledge by following courses at the École de Chaillot, CESHCMA, where he obtained the Diploma in 1981, and in Art History at Paris IV Sorbonne at the Institute of Art and Archeology on rue Michelet. The site of the seaside district of Mers les Bains with its picturesque seaside architecture will be the subject of a Masters in Art History obtained in 1985.

HISTORICAL CONTINUITY.

The activity is essentially focused on new and rehabilitation projects located in the sensitive hearts of cities, in a classic style of historical continuity. Integrating and harmonizing with architectural and urban contexts often rich in a past to preserve or enhance turns out to be the objective of all the architect's projects, who opposes any disruptive modernist ideology. “Passionate by the heritage of the last centuries” comments in 2020, the Historian François LOYER, who specifies that the architectures of Patrick DELAMOTTE are based on the sensitivity of the gaze. Indeed, it will be on the sensitive scale of the passerby that the materials and details will be studied, chosen for their tactile effect, in an epicurean desire for daily and timeless happiness.

ARCHITECTURAL ORNAMENTATION

Architectural ornamentation and color are an integral part of architectural projects from the first sketches to the details drawn on a large scale; which motivates the craftsmen on construction sites, giving the best of themselves with remarkable talent. Dialogue is permanent because it facilitates implementation and obtains the best results! The competition of local artists also brought additional soul and beauty, with a concern for the aesthetic quality of the project.

ORGANIZATION

Patrick DELAMOTTE works in pairs with a Construction Economist, to be able to devote himself solely to architectural drawings and relations with the Municipalities' Building Permit Instructor Services. Shared task economy for more efficient action. With the Historian Olivier LESCORCE, the architect clearly announces his intentions by creating a trademark:
