lagoa architecture SAS is available for new projects
Working on what is bequeathed to us and measuring its potential for development is the starting point for lagoa architecture projects.
Thanks to their Franco-Portuguese background and experience alongside recognized architects. In the light of contemporary issues, Christophe Gourdier and Florence Vita are convinced that the future of architecture lies essentially in rehabilitation.
With a specialization in built heritage, lagoa architecture leads each project by placing itself at the service of the user with guiding principles: the genius of the place, the economy of the project and constructive reality.
There are no small or large projects, there are no constraints, there are only architectural, historical, landscape, economic and environmental realities. For lagoa architecture, they are all sources of inspiration.
Located in Paris in the 19th arrondissement, the agency operates throughout the Paris region but also in the rest of France, thanks to a network of partners present in several French cities.
Christophe Gourdier began his practice at ENSA Toulouse in 2010, he expanded his learning during a year of mobility at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto. This year spent in Portugal as well as the internships that followed within the agencies of Manuel Aires Mateus (Lisbon) and Paulo David (Madeira) allowed him to consolidate his love of technical detail and research on the material. On his return to France, he joined ENSA Paris-Belleville from which he graduated in 2017.
After two years of collaboration within the Parisian agency Gillot+Givry, he initiated his personal practice as an architect in 2019 and joined the Continuo Architecture agency the same year as a freelance collaborator. During this experience he worked independently on projects of various scales and programs and developed a transversal approach to the profession of architect.
Florence Vita began her practice at ENSA Toulouse in 2010, she continued her learning during a year of mobility at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto, followed by a year of internship at the Souto de Moura agency. On her return to France, she completed her ENSA Paris-Val-de-Seine diploma, which she obtained in 2016. She then joined the Parisian agencies of Emmanuelle Colboc, then the Atelier d'Architecture Philippe Prost. During these six years of experience, she works on heritage and urban studies, as well as new and rehabilitation projects.
Building on this experience and wanting to focus her practice on intervention in the existing environment, she obtained her DSA Architecture and Heritage diploma from ENSA Paris-Belleville. In 2024 she joined lagoa architecture in partnership with Christophe Gourdier.
