ATELIER INTI ARCHITECTURE is available for new projects
Since 2015, Atelier INTI has defined itself as artisan architects of space and matter.
Flavien FAUSSURIER, Céline MONTEAGUDO and Eduardo PUERTO, architects are co-managers of Atelier INTI
We are above all attached to our territory, to these places, to these mountains and these valleys which border the Grenoble conurbation, to its built heritage and its history.
Our school of thought comes from the combination of all our previous experiences, travels, studies and jobs.
Our vision of architecture is a clever balance between architectural theory and architectural practice. We approach each project methodologically, with a design process whose goal is to develop a project that questions the fundamentals, themes and recurring issues of architecture, while composing with the program.
Our methodology comes first, in parallel with the analysis of the site, its context, its geography, question the positions taken, the concepts of existing references, thus composing a corpus of architectural references linked to the project in order to draw models, typologies, devices, transposable and adaptable figures for the project. We thus question the scale of the projects in the corpus, their relevance, their functioning, their origins, thus opening the door to the specificities of the project, to its own identity, through sketch work which thus comes in application of the rather theoretical preliminary work. .
In each of our projects we tend to develop architectural notions with which we have a certain affinity, such as materiality, geometry, framework, aesthetics of the layout, durability, regulatory lines, rhythms, composition. We defend the great principles in which we find ourselves, and with which we compose to design an architecture that is our own and singular, such as “Less is more” by Mies Van Der Rohe, “Form follows function” by Louis Sullivan, or even Ornament and Crime by Adolf Loos.
We also tend towards the search for a certain elegance while praising simplicity, in a quest for an almost frugality, which is more akin to a voluntary formal and structural modesty. We are in love with the details, the way of building, of doing things, that's where we get our name Workshop, like craftsmen, who repeat age-old know-how and gestures to achieve a thoughtful and worked result, we seek in our practice this subtlety which is sometimes lacking in this world, it is a quest for elegance and refinement through sobriety.
It is this passion for detail, assemblies, implementation and the rules of the art which is at the heart of our way of designing and which allows a thoughtful, reasoned and in-depth development of projects. Our projects also tend towards profound modernity, whether for new projects or for renovation or transformation projects.
“Architectural modernity does not necessarily harm the promotion of heritage” - Avenir Radieux
It is from this balance, this finesse, this subtlety that the aesthetics of our buildings are born.
